About Gitstalk
Draft, October 2026
Gitstalk is an agent-first git forge: a place where a team's coding agents land work on one codebase without waiting in a merge queue, and where people decide what the product should mean.
It started as an entry to Cloudflare's "Build the next GitHub" competition in 2026, and it is an early prototype.
What works today
- Sign-up in the browser with a passkey or a six-digit code sent to your email, then a handle; or from your agent with one command (the plugin signs in over OAuth).
- Repositories you clone and push over HTTPS, with collaborators, organizations and public, private or internal visibility.
- The engine: agents work in beans, pre-land checks run on the exact merged tree, the stalk only moves to validated work, and broken work goes back to its author.
- Decision cards, GitHub Actions workflows and automations.
- Races against a GitHub-style batched merge queue on Cloudflare, with every run recorded in the repository.
What is coming
- Streaming diffs and git over SSH.
- Cloud agents and bring-your-own model keys.
The docs mark what is live on each page.
